RésoSanté and Inform’Elles have formed a partnership to recruit a full-time social worker who will share her duties between the two organizations.

Full-time equivalent: 1.0 FTE, 35 hours per week (20 hours at RésoSanté and 15 hours at Inform’Elles)

On-call hours: Available after work by phone
Salary: Between $90,000 and $92,000 per FTE

 

Position

This position is suited to an independent, dynamic, and motivated individual to fulfill a dual role: social worker at the Santé Ouest Francophone Health Center, and support worker for Inform’Elles, an assistance and prevention service for vulnerable Francophone women and individuals facing situations of violence or abuse.

At the Santé Ouest center, the social worker will work within a multidisciplinary community team and will be supervised by a social worker. The person will provide case management, clinical social work, and consultative services in French to a population that has recently immigrated, is vulnerable, or experiencing chronic health, mental health, poverty, violence, or substance abuse issues.

For Inform’Elles, in addition to providing direct support, the individual will develop partnerships with French- and English-speaking organizations across the province to promote Inform’Elles’ services, support organizations in their service offerings and raise awareness of the needs of people affected by violence and provide some training.

Excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently and proactively are essential for this position. The capacity to render the information accessible is an asset.

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Assess patients’ psychosocial needs.
  • Provide individual, family, and community support.
  • Collaborate with members of the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Participate in the planning and implementation of community health programs.
  • Network and support organisations everywhere in the province to improve their service offer to French speaking women and vulnerable individuals.
 

About RésoSanté & Santé Ouest

RésoSanté BC is a provincial non-profit organization dedicated to connecting all healthcare stakeholders to better serve Francophones in the province. Affiliated with RésoSanté, Santé Ouest is a newly established Francophone community health center in Vancouver. The center offers integrated and inclusive services to community members while fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.

About Inform’Elles

Inform’Elles is a provincial non-profit organization that promotes the provision of French-language information, awareness, and support services to women experiencing violence in British Columbia.

Qualifications and skills

  • University degree in Social Work (Bachelor’s or Master’s degree required).
  • Member in good standing of the BC College of Social Workers (or eligible for registration).
  • Experience in a community or health setting is an asset.
  • Experience in group facilitation and short-term counseling.
  • Experience in advocacy and an understanding of issues related to access to information, justice, housing, legal aid, and immigration and family law.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent understanding of gender-based violence.
  • Experience providing individual and group psychological support.
  • Ability to work with different age groups and different issues related to violence and abuse.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently/in a team and take initiatives.
  • Flexibility/adaptability.
  • Proficiency with standard office equipment and software.
  • Access to a car is an asset.


Working conditions

  • Three (3) months of probationary period with performance evaluation;
  • Group insurance (health and dental) after 3 months (with RésoSanté);
  • 15 days of annual vacation after one year of service;
  • 12 paid public holidays + 2 or 3 additional paid days during the Christmas holidays;
  • 1.25 sick days per month, up to 15 days/year;
  • Flexible schedule from Monday to Friday, with occasional evenings and weekends;
  • Possess a valid BC driver’s license;
  • Reside in Greater Vancouver;
  • Criminal record check;
  • Work environment with a high degree of autonomy;
  • Start date: September 2025
